Karen E. Enevoldsen

Karen E. Enevoldsen, of Lebanon, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Lebanon, NJ. She was 88 years old.

Born on February 17, 1938, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Karen was the daughter of the late Alfred and Hermina (Ochs) Baker. She was also predeceased by two brothers; Alfred and Henry Baker.
She resided at Rolling Hills Care Center for the past 8 years, moving from Flemington, NJ and Bath, PA. She raised her family in Whitehouse Station, NJ.    

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University Douglass Campus and went on to enjoy a successful career as a tax accountant with Hoechst Celanese Corporation in Bridgewater, NJ, where she was known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to helping others.

Karen was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Enevoldsen; her cherished daughter, Susan Dawn Enevoldsen, who passed away in 2023; She is also predeceased by her daughter-in-law; Peggy Obal-Enevoldsen (Glenn's wife), who died in 2024.

She is lovingly survived by her two sons, John Enevoldsen and his wife, Cheryl, of Flemington, New Jersey, and Glenn Enevoldsen of Flemington, New Jersey. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Amy Enevoldsen, Sara Enevoldsen, David Obal, and Trevor Obal and his wife, Mary and their three daughters.

Karen found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, had a special affection for cats, and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved sports and was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan.

Family and friends will remember Karen for her quiet strength, kind heart, and the love she shared with those closest to her. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will take place at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton at a later date.
