Karen Rose Paul

Karen Rose Paul, age 59, of Union Twp., NJ passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at home after a long courageous battle with Huntington’s disease. 

She was born on July 22, 1964 in Newark, NJ.  She spent many years in Piscataway, NJ before moving to Asbury, NJ 2 years ago.

She was the wife of Edward A. Kielau Jr., celebrating 15 years of marriage.

Karen worked in accounts receivable for Car Rentals Inc. in Piscataway, NJ years ago. 

She co-owned a Kar-Do-Jitsu Ryu Martial Arts School. She held a Black Belt. 

Karen also loved the beach and enjoyed Hot Air Ballooning. 

Survivors in addition to her loving husband include one brother; John F. Paul and his wife Dolores Kielau of RI.  One nephew; John P. Paul.  Two nieces; Megan Hauss and Molly Hauss.  She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in law; Edward A. and Annette M. Kielau.  Brother-in-law Ken Kielau, Sister-in-Law Donna and her husband John Hauss.

Predeceased by her parents John F. and Margaret McGrogan Paul and two siblings; Frank Paul and Jean Paul. 

Visitation will take place Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 12pm -1pm with Memorial service at 1pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private.
