Kenneth G. Booth, age 81, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at home.
He was born on May 4, 1943 in Orange, NJ. He was raised in Scotch Plains, NJ. He later moved to Beaver Brook in Annandale, NJ from 1991-2003. He resided at his current home in Clinton Twp. since 2003.
He was the son of the late George Herbert and Margaret Winifred Murphy Booth.
Kenneth ran his own business ‘Booth Metals’, where he specialized in the wholesale buying and selling of aluminum, steel, and copper raw materials for over 55 years.
He earned his bachelor's degree in business from Seton Hall University located in South Orange, NJ.
Memberships include Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Annandale, NJ.
Kenneth loved playing golf. He also enjoyed skiing and playing tennis. He was especially passionate about baseball, basketball, and softball. He enjoyed all sports and was an original NJ Devils season ticket holder since 1982. He was proud to be on one of the best slow-pitch softball teams in all the Northeast ‘Fred’s Deli’. Kenneth also played in a band years ago.
Survivors include one son: Ryan P. Booth and his wife Hilary of Burlington, VT. Two granddaughters; Abigail Booth and Reagan Booth. One brother; William H. Booth of FL. He is also survived by his significant other; Margaret ‘Peggie’ Rice-Shillito and her family Karen, Kristin, Nick, Nicky, Natalie, and Katherine.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 9am - 11am with funeral service at 11am. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.
