Kevin Richard Cook

Kevin Richard Cook, age 42, of Lebanon Twp., NJ passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Hackettstown Medical Center in Hackettstown, NJ.  

He was born on July 22, 1980, in Berlin, VT.  He spent his childhood in VT before moving to Boston,  MA and later Glenside, PA.  He resided in Lebanon Twp., NJ for the past 10 years with his wife, three children, and Edith, their dog.

He was the son of Richard and Myrna Dale Cook of Hadley, MA.

He was the beloved husband of Sara Quinn Webb Cook, celebrating 13 years of marriage. The couple met in 2007 when she was his nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Kevin graduated from South Royalton High School in Royalton, VT and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Business Management with High Honors from Bryant College in Smithville, RI.  

Kevin was currently employed at BlackRock in Princeton, NJ as a Mutual Fund Tax Accountant.  

Kevin's favorite things to do involved his family.  He welcomed time participating and supporting his children in their many activities, always their biggest fan and supporter.   He loved sports and enjoyed helping coach North Hunterdon Little League baseball.   Kevin also enjoyed maintaining his eBay business page, where he would buy and sell sports cards, and had an amazing wealth of knowledge in statistics, players, and teams.  He still rooted for his Red Sox and New England Patriots, despite being a NJ transplant.  He also enjoyed hiking outdoors, playing pick up sports in his yard with his children,  good spicy food, and a good “Buy One, Get One” deal while out shopping.   He will be deeply missed and remembered for his kind, easy going spirit, generous heart, being a wonderful, loving husband and even better father. 

Survivors in addition to his loving wife and his parents include his three children: Bryce Cook, Paige Cook and Quinn ‘Bash’ Cook.  His in-laws: Richard and Denise Webb of Lebanon Twp., NJ.  Sister-in-law: Taylor Webb Vidak and her husband Chris Vidak of Clinton Twp., NJ.  Nieces: Regan Vidak and Rhemy Vidak. Kevin was predeceased by his brother: Kenny Cook who passed away in May of 2016.  

Calling hours will take place on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 7- 9 pm with Memorial service at 8:30 pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private. 

An additional Memorial Service in Massachusetts will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the First Churches of Northampton, Northampton, MA., at 2pm with the reception at American First Legion #271, Hadley, MA., immediately afterwards.
