Lloyd Kenneth Swanson, Jr. of High Bridge, NJ passed away May 3, 2021 at his daughter's home in Pittstown, NJ.  
He was 79.
Born January 5, 1942 in Newton, NJ to Lloyd Kenneth Swanson and Eula Annie Pearl (Nee. Hagood).  
He was a graduate of the Pen Argyl, PA class of 1959 and served as Class President and was well respected and loved by classmates to this day.  He attended the University of Illinois on a Golf scholarship as a Fine Arts Major.  He was a Fine Arts Restorer and Conservator and was considered a Master in his field.  He began his career as a restorer and conservator at Swain's Galleries in Plainfield, NJ and owned two art galleries, Galt's Gallery in Chatham, NJ in the early 1970's and established Swanson Fire Arts in High Bridge, NJ in 1974.  
He is predeceased by his loving wife Mary Philomena (Nee. Linehan) in 2006 who was born in Cork, Ireland and came to America in 1959 as a 17 year old.  They were married for 43 years and were residents of High Bridge since 1974.
He was a founding member of the 'I'm for High Bridge" Community activity group.  He was active with the High Bridge Huskies and North Hunterdon Little League and always attended his children's athletic and academic events.  He loved to play Volleyball with other High Bridge residents at the Middle School.  He was an avid reader and you would never want to watch Jeopardy with him as he always won.  He was active with planning his high school reunions throughout the years and enjoyed weekend morning breakfasts and hikes with his former classmates. He was very active with his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them.   Through the years he willing served as a model for all of his granddaughters make-up, hair and nail experimentations. He will always and forever be known to his grandchildren as the PopPop who greeted them with a burley "Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, I'm going to get your piggies" to which they all would squeal with delight.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Lobb of Windgap, PA. Two sons; Michael and wife Victoria of Kingwood Twp, Thomas Morrow and partner Amanda of Rocky Mount, MO.  Two daughters, Tara Marie and husband Rick Hintz of Lebanon Twp. and Patti and Jim Letko of Franklin Twp.  14 grandchildren: Katrina, Greta, Otto and Emma Sage Hintz; Ronan, Rori, Sadie and Finely Swanson; Kelsy, Connor, Fiona, Gabriel and Charlotte Letko and two great-granddaughters Elizabeth and Grace Peterson.   A brother John Swanson and wife Barbara of Wellsboro, PA and a sister Jan Jackson and husband Jeff of Hamilton, NY.
He was predeceased by his son, Lloyd Kenneth Swanson III and grandson Griffin Patrick Letko.
Calling hours will be held at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ on Friday, May 7th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  Funeral will take place on Saturday, May 8th at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lower Valley Union Cemetery in Califon, NJ.
