Lois Eileen Fromhertz

Lois Eileen Fromhertz, of Clinton Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on September 26, 1946, in Newark, New Jersey, Lois was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Irma (Kendrick) Wukitsch. She made her home in North Plainfield for many years, where she was an active member of her community and formed lasting friendships. She resided in Westfield and Scotch Plains in her younger years, graduating from Westfield High School.

Her husband; Philip Francis Fromhertz III passed away in 2022. 

Lois worked as an insurance agent, serving others with dedication and care. She also worked as a bridal consultant at Jefre Bridal in Green Brook, NJ where she loved not only assisting brides with their dresses, but also attending bridal fashion shows to help in the purchasing of the latest fashions.  

Above all else, Lois cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children: Lisa Paine (Rodney) of Floral Park, New York; Christian Fromhertz of Saratoga Springs, New York; and Jonathan Fromhertz (Andrew Taylor) of Long Beach, California. She took great pride in being “Grandma” to her beloved grandchildren, Dillon James Konzelmann and Elizabeth Marie Konzelmann, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her beloved grand dogs; Bailey and Larry.

She is also survived by her brother, Michael Wukitsch, of Colorado.  

She was preceded in death in addition to her husband, by her brother, Joseph Wukitsch. 

Lois had many interests that reflected her warm and vibrant spirit. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, playing the piano, spending time at the lake in the Adirondacks, and traveling to see family. A loyal New York Yankees fan, she rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on her favorite team. She also enjoyed participating in community activities in North Plainfield and had an appreciation for her Hungarian heritage. Coming from a musical family, with both her father and brothers being musicians, music remained an important part of her life.

Those who knew Lois will remember her kind heart, her love of family, and the pride she took in her children and grandchildren. Her greatest happiness came from the time she spent with them, and the memories they shared will be treasured always.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.   A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 41 Manning Ave., North Plainfield, NJ, followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, New Jersey.

Lois’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
