Lois Isabella Larmour

Lois Isabella Larmour, age 90, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, surrounded by family.

She was born on April 12, 1933, at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ.  She spent her childhood in Plainfield and resided in Clinton Twp., NJ since the late 1960’s. 

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabella (Wood) Larmour. 

Lois graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital’s nursing school and worked at the hospital as a nurse for many years.  She also worked as a traveling nurse and for an Ophthalmologist for many years. 

She was a long-time active member of the Round Valley United Methodist Church in Lebanon, NJ.

Lois loved doing needlework and traveling, She especially enjoyed her trips to Europe and Maine and spending time with her family members in Vermont.  She also loved animals and especially her dachshunds Morgan, Liebchen and Minna. 

Lois’ greatest passion was as the chronicler and keeper of the family tree spread around the globe. She was the glue that kept far-flung family connected to one another’s lives. Every birthday, wedding, anniversary and birth came with a special note from “Aunt Lois.”

Lois was a beloved sister, aunt and great-aunt to a large family, particularly nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who loved spending time with Aunt Lois. Survivors include one brother, Robert Larmour and his wife Lynne, of Clinton Twp.  One sister; Judith Regan of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  Nieces and nephews; Jennifer Larmour (Amelia Ross), Susan Simpson (Thatcher), Robert Larmour (Angela), Kevin Regan, Brian Regan (Michelle), and Christine Greenebaum (Steve).  Great-nieces and great-nephews Daniel and Anna Larmour, Hunter and Hope Simpson, Ciara and Curran Regan, and Megan and Amanda Greenebaum. 

Predeceased by her brother-in-law, Thomas Regan.

Services will take place at a later date. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
