Lois Jane Voorhees

Lois Jane Voorhees, age 90, of Lebanon, NJ passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at home surrounded be her loving family.

She was born on December 1, 1932 in Long Valley, NJ.  She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.

She was the daughter of the late Archie and Angie Ader Hoffman.

She was a graduate of High Bridge High School. 

Her beloved husband, Carlton Dewey Voorhees, passed away in 2015 after 62 years of marriage.

Lois worked for several years in the Clinton Twp. School cafeteria.  She loved children and enjoyed caring for kids, especially her grandchildren.

Memberships include the Lebanon Borough Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Lois loved spending time with her family and cooking for everyone.

Survivors include four children; Don Voorhees and his wife Chris of Pattenburg, NJ, Wayne Voorhees and his wife Gloria of Bethlehem, PA, William Voorhees of Lebanon, NJ and Robert Voorhees of Lebanon, NJ.  Six grandchildren; Amy Voorhees Marcigliano and her husband Jon, Mark Voorhees and his wife Mary, Brian Voorhees, Stacy Voorhees, Gage Voorhees and Kara Voorhees.  Seven great-grandchildren; Lucas Marcigliano, Liam Marcigliano, Enzo Voorhees, Nina Voorhees, Bazil Voorhees, Mia Concilio and Kali Concilio. 

Predeceased by three siblings; Carol Hudecek, Betty Hoffman and Ronnie Hoffman. 

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 7-9pm.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10am.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.
