Lore DeRoze

Lore DeRoze, age 90, of Barnegat Light, NJ passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ.

She was born on February 19, 1931 in Newark, NJ.  She lived with her son in Barnegat Light for the past 30 years, moving from Stanton, NJ.

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Krauss.

Her husband, John J. DeRoze, passed away in 1990 after 39 years of marriage.

Lore was primarily a stay-at-home Mom, yet she worked part time as a secretary and also dabbled in real estate over the years. 

Lore was involved in many organizations including Sweet Adeline’s and Bible Study at Zion Lutheran Church in Barnegat Light, NJ.  She was also in a knitting and gardening club. 

Survivors include one son; Jon J. DeRoze of Barnegat Light, NJ.  One daughter; Lisa DeRoze of Lebanon, NJ.  One grandson; Max Robert Cusumano of Lebanon, NJ.  Three nephews. 

Predeceased in addition to her husband by one sister; Charlotte Owens.

All services will be private.
