Lorraine Fairbanks

Lorraine E. Fairbanks, age 80, of Lebanon Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at home.

She was born on June 20, 1940 in Somerville, NJ.  She spent her childhood in Martinsville, NJ.  She lived in North Plainfield, NJ before moving to Lebanon Twp., NJ in 1968.  

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and June Horn Stein.

Her husband, Herbert Fairbanks, passed away in 2012 after 52 years of marriage.

After High School, Lorraine worked as a bank teller.  She spend many years raising her family, and later worked as a bus driver for Polt Bus in Annandale, NJ for several years.  

Memberships include Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Cokesbury, NJ.

Lorraine was an animal lover and especially loved horses and birds.  She also enjoyed talking and socializing with family and friends.  

Survivors include two children; Jonathan Fairbanks and his wife Stephanie of Tobyhanna, PA and Donna Rochelle of Las Vegas, NV.  Five grandchildren.  Two step-grandchildren.  Three great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother; Warren Stein of Warren, NJ.  Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Predeceased in addition to her husband by her sister; June Lewis who passed away in March of 2020.  

Calling hours will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10am to 12pm with Funeral Service at 12pm.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.  For anyone who can not join us in person, the funeral service will be available on Zoom by clicking the live-stream link below.
