Marcia A. Rumpf

Marcia A. Rumpf, age 90, long-time resident of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ.  

She was born on March 29, 1935 in Washington, NJ.  She spent her childhood in Washington before moving to High Bridge, NJ.

She was the daughter of the late John Frank and Mary Elizabeth (Philhower) Smith.  

Her beloved husband, Donald F. Rumpf Sr. passed away in 2016 after 63 years of marriage.  

She was a graduate of Washington High School.  

Marcia worked as a Cafeteria Worker at Voorhees High School in Glen Gardner, NJ until her retirement.  

Marcia was a past member of the High Bridge Reformed Church in High Bridge, NJ.  

She loved dancing with her husband, especially doing the jitterbug and square dancing.  She was also an avid reader and Elvis fan.  She even traveled to Graceland – a fond memory she always cherished.  Marcia loved all the trips she took with her husband, but she especially loved her trip to Hawaii. She also loved flowers.

Survivors include her three sons; Donald ‘Butch’ F. Rumpf Jr. and his girlfriend Barbara of Washington, NJ, Larry J. Rumpf and his wife Debbie of Washington, NJ and Randy G. Rumpf and his wife Nancy of Lebanon Twp., NJ.  Seven grandchildren; Nicholas Rumpf of Thailand, Jeremy Rumpf and his wife Stefanie of TN, Amy DaSilva and her husband Brian of Pen Argyl, PA, Kiley Rumpf and his wife Heidi of Holmdel, NJ, Renee Bacskocky and her husband Joseph of Felton, DE, Matthew Rumpf and his wife Allison of Asbury, NJ and Cory Rumpf of Keyport, NJ.  Eight great-grandchildren; Skyelar Rumpf, Brison DaSilva, Landon Bacskocky, Hunter Rumpf, Mackenzie Rumpf, Austin Rumpf, Elsie Rumpf and Anderson Rumpf.  She is also survived by her sister; Dorothy Moretti and her husband Charles of Palmer Twp., PA.  

Predeceased in addition to her husband by one sister; Bernice Young.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 10am – 12pm with funeral service at 12pm.  All held at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment following at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
