Marcus Romeo DeFago

Marcus Romeo DeFago, age 66, of Lebanon Borough, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 5, 23022 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

He was born on July 5, 1955 in Union, NJ.  He spent his childhood in Union and had resided in Lebanon Borough for the past 25 years, moving from Milford, NJ. 

He was the son of the late Romeo and Angelina (Abbatemarco) DeFago.

Marcus graduated from Union High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Arizona. 

Marcus was lovingly known as the ‘Pool Man’ as he owned and operated Dena Pools in Pittstown, NJ for the majority of his career. 

Memberships include the Elks in Clinton, NJ as well as the VFW in Frenchtown, NJ.

Marcus loved fishing and being on the boat.  He also loved his beloved dogs. 

Survivors include his partner of 25 years, Patricia Lynn Lane of Lebanon Borough, NJ.  One daughter; Dena Schools and her husband John of Portsmouth, VA.  Two step-sons; Wesley Lane and his wife Saran of Somerville, NJ and Christopher Lane and his wife Amnika of South Bound Brook, NJ.  Two grandsons; Morgan Duffin and Finn Schools.  One brother; Christopher DeFago of Whitehouse, NJ.  Four nieces; Christine DeFago, Angelina DeFago, Jessica DeFago and Jamie Rella.  Two nephews; Michael DeFago and Jason DeFago Jr. 

All services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
