Margaret M. Gury, age 85, of Chester, NJ passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Bryan Manor in Chester, NJ.
She was born on April 18, 1936 in Irvington, NJ. She spent her childhood in Irvington and lived in Warren county for 30 years before moving to Bryan Manor six months ago.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret McwingMacaulay.
Her husband, William Edward Gury, passed away in 2015.
At age 50, Margaret went back to school and earned her bachelors degree in psychology from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.
Margaret worked as a Secretary for various companies including Roxiticus Golf Club in Mendham, NJ.
Margaret was incredibly involved with the Republican party in her town. She was a County Committee woman years ago and she also worked the polls for various elections.
Survivors include two daughters; Laura Rocca of High Bridge and her significant other Gary Czarnecki and LeeAnne DeJong and her husband Robert of Indianapolis. Five grandchildren; David Vincent Rocca, James DeJong, Courtney Sanford and her husband David, Reid DeJong and Thomas William Rocca. Great-grandson; Willet Sanford.
Predeceased in addition to her husband by one brother; Robert Macaulay.
All services will be private.
