Marilyn A. Ahn, of Tewksbury Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on August 30, 1944, in Flemington, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Cullen Van Natta.
Marilyn was a lifelong Hunterdon County resident. She resided in Tewksbury Township for the past 35 years.
She worked as an executive secretary for Shearing Plough for many years before her retirement. Previously, she had also worked for Leahy Archives in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
Marilyn shared a loving marriage of 35 years with her devoted husband, Christopher Ahn. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Coti Newman (James) of Lebanon Township, NJ, and Debra Van Natta of Clinton, NJ. She was a cherished grandmother to James Newman Jr., Bradley “Brad” Newman, Stacey Ryan (Chris), and Shane Van Natta, and a proud great-grandmother to Savannah, Olivia, Chris Jr., and Sawyer Ryan.
She is also survived by her brothers, James Van Natta (Joyce) of Clinton, NJ, Robert Van Natta (Nancy) of High Bridge, NJ, her brother-in-law Phillip Ahn of Red Bank NJ and her sister-in-law Kathy Krall of New York. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brothers, Bernard “Bud” Van Natta, John “Jack” Van Natta, and her brother-in-law Paul Ahn. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Marilyn loved spending time with her family and was especially fond of her beloved dog, Sophie. She had a passion for traveling, boating, and enjoyed "snow-birding" in Florida and vacationing around the country in her RV. She loved lighthouses and enjoyed traveling to Maine every year. She also loved playing games, especially Nickels and cards with her friends and was known for her warm personality and love of making memories with those around her. She enjoyed Sunday services and online worship with Stanton Reformed Church. Marilyn was also a member of the Clinton Township Seniors Club.
A gathering of friends will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with memorial service celebrating Marilyn’s life beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Stanton Reformed Church, 1 Stanton Mountain Road, Stanton, NJ.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
