Marilyn Beth Sutton, age 91, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at home.
She was born on October 17, 1932 in Somerville, NJ. She spent her childhood in Pottersville, NJ and was a life-long resident of Hunterdon County. She resided on the farm in Clinton Twp., NJ since 1967.
She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Rowe McCrea.
Her beloved husband, Willard C. ‘Bill’ Sutton passed away in 2014 after 57 years of marriage.
She was a past member of Pottersville Reformed Church where she attended as a child.
Marilyn loved gardening. She had various plants and garden on her property that she enjoyed tending to. She also enjoyed keeping her home neat and tidy. Years ago, she helped her husband tend the cows on the farm. She was a sweet lady who enjoyed nature and the simple things in life.
Survivors include her son; Kevin Frederick ‘Freddie’ Sutton of Clinton Twp., NJ. One nephew; Edward W. Schmidt of Pottersville, NJ.
Predeceased by her beloved daughter; Susan Sutton, who passed away in 1972. She is also predeceased by her two sisters; Eleanor M. Clawson who passed away on the same day as Marilyn (September 27) in 2021 and Ida Mae Schmidt who passed away in 2023.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Marilyn’s caregiver of several years, Esther, from Anita’s Angels and to Dr. Rosen for the extraordinary care that he provided for Marilyn over the past few years.
Calling hours will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11am. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment at Cokesbury Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.
