Mary A. Umhoefer

Mary A. Umhoefer, age 79, long-time resident of Clinton Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Colorado Springs, CO.

She was born on November 28, 1943, in Paterson, NJ.  She spent her childhood in Bergen County, NJ and resided in Clinton Twp., NJ for many years before recently moving to CO.

She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Julia Pisano Affinito.

Her beloved husband, C. Robert Umhoefer, passed away in 2007.

Mary worked at North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ from 1986 until her retirement in 2012 as a secretary, first in the AV Department and later to the Assistant Principal and Principal.

Memberships include St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in High Bridge, NJ.

Mary enjoyed shopping and going out with friends for lunch and dinner.  She was always very social and loved being with her friends and family.

Survivors include two daughters; Mary-Kay Hilken and her husband Jim of Colorado Springs, CO and Robin Longcor and her husband Mike of Annandale, NJ.  Eight grandchildren; Cody Bauman and his wife Tiffany, Sydney Bauman, Nathan Bauman, Alexandra Bauman, Alexander Longcor, Zach Longcor, Leah Longcor and Laura Longcor.  Mary was so proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments.

Predeceased in addition to her husband includes one brother; Carmine Affinito.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 2-4pm with funeral service at 4pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private.
