Michael B. Grillo, Sr., of Whitehouse Station, N.J., passed away on Saturday, May 9, at the age of 74 after an extended hospital stay for almost two years. He was born on October 14, 1945 in Plainfield, N.J., to
Marian Ventura and Michael Grillo. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and a very loyal fan of the Yankees and Giants. Michael had enthusiasm for all genres of music and enjoyed a long and remarkable career in the waste management industry, where he valued people and exemplified hard work. He had the biggest of hearts which he always wore on his sleeve. Michael was an avid physical fitness proponent who worked out daily until his illness. He was generous with friends and family, and will forever be remembered for his boundless energy and timeless, unconventional lessons that he taught about life.
Michael is survived by his wife, Maureen, three children, Michael, Jr.[and his wife Stacey], Stephen [and his wife Nicky] and Lauren [and her husband Tyler Grillo], two grandchildren, Joseph and Ahnu, and two siblings, Carol Piscopo and Bernard Grillo.
The family plans to have a celebration of life when the environment will allow.
