Nancy B. King

Nancy B. King, age 85, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at home.

She was born on May 9, 1935 in Somerville, NJ.  She was a life-long resident of Hunterdon County.  She spent her childhood and many years in Lebanon Borough.  She resided in Clinton Twp. since 1955.

She was the daughter of Richard and Alice Manning Sammis.

She was the wife of William ‘Bill’ H. King.  The couple met at Youth Group at Round Valley United Methodist Church in Lebanon and were married on February 14, 1954.  

Nancy was a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ, class of 1953.  

She worked as a Legal Secretary for Gebhardt & Kiefer in Annandale for 35 years until her retirement.  

Nancy was a long-time member of Round Valley United Methodist Church in Lebanon where she also led the choir many years ago.  Years ago, she enjoyed being a Cub Scout Leader. More recently, she was a member of the Red Hat Society.  

Nancy loved playing the piano and organ.  She also enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home.  They explored most of the United States and portions of Canada, and also enjoyed going to Blue Grass music festivals on the weekends.

Survivors in addition to her loving husband include two sons;Richard King and his wife Amy of Burleson, TX, and Ronald King and his wife Susan of Milford, NJ.  Six grandchildren; Benjamin King and his wife Lauren, Alexander King, ElizabethGrau and her husband Michael, Margaret Turner and her husband Wesley, Jessica King and Andrew King.  Two great-grandchildren; Everett King and Scarlett Grau.  

Predeceased by one sister; Ellen Fetzko.  

Calling hours will be Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  Funeral will take place on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11am.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment at Union Cemetery in Lebanon, NJ.
