Patricia Ann Socha, age 67, of Annandale, NJ passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 13, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI. She resided in Wisconsin for the majority of her life, moving to New Jersey in 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Alice (Grocholski) Lemanski.
For over 40 years, Pat was a Licensed Practical Nurse in the greater Milwaukee area for various nursing homes, sub-acute rehabilitation centers and a hospice organization.
Throughout her life, people were drawn to Pat. Her warm, down-to-Earth demeanor and candid sense of humor invited those she met to be themselves around her. Whether it was the patients she took care of, the healthcare professionals who took care of her, or the random people she met in line at the grocery store—Pat always seemed to touch them in her own unique way. Her passion in life was being a grandmother. She loved watching her grandkids learn to swim, practice taekwondo, play soccer and T-ball and watch them in school parades and events. Grandma Pat usually brought a little treat for her grandkids when she walked through the door and loved snuggling with them, watching their television shows with them and playing Candy Land. As a special treat, she would sometimes bring breakfast from McDonalds, which always included plenty of sausage, since she and the grandkids particularly enjoyed that!
Some of Pat’s favorite things included taking her family out to eat at Cracker Barrel, perusing the clearance racks at Walmart early in the morning, golden labs and retrievers, watching TLC reality television, taking trips with her family, reading novels, eating medium-rare steak and potatoes, as well as anything non-vegetable her son-in-law Jeff cooked! She also loved the color purple, eating lobster, the Green Bay Packers and listening to Cher.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Jaime Gora (husband Jeff) of Holland Twp., NJ and Becky LeViseur (husband Frank) of Mukwonago, WI; and grandchildren Mollie, Colin, Adeline, Owen and Winifred. She is also survived by her sister Susan Yadro (husband John) of Middleton, WI., and her niece, Katie Yadro.
Pat is predeceased by her husband John, and her nephew, Andrew Yadro.
The family would like to thank both the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center and Hunterdon Hospice for their exceptional and compassionate care.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ. Per Pat’s request, there are no formal services.
Donations can be made in Pat’s name to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center in Flemington, NJ.
