Patricia Ann Susko, age 66, of Lebanon, NJ passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Twp., NJ.
Patricia was born on December 30, 1957 in Glen Cove, NY on Long Island and she spent her childhood in Syosset, NY. She was the daughter of the late David and Margaret Errico Hart.
She has lived with her family in Lebanon, NJ since 1999.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 34 years, James (Jim) M Susko, her son Matthew (Matt) S Susko of Lebanon, NJ and, of course, her beloved dog Cairo. She is also survived by her sister; Deborah Macaulay of RI and her niece; Christina Macaulay of ME.
Patricia graduated from Providence College in Providence, RI with her undergraduate degree and later graduated from Long Island University - Post in Brookville, NY with her master’s degree in Special Education. She worked as a special education teacher at the Nassau Center in Long Island and both Midland School and Metheny School in NJ.
Patricia always enjoyed the beach as a kid and would like to go to Tobay, Jones and Robert Moses beaches in Long Island. Later, she would enjoy the family vacations in Long Beach Island, NJ. She loved horses and often spoke of the fun she had taking English style horseback riding lessons when she was young. She also had a special fondness for wolves and collected various artworks showing off their beauty. Patricia enjoyed needle point and crochet and the simple pleasure of doing word searches.
Patricia loved watching her favorite shows, including, Law and Order SVU and America’s Funniest Home Videos and then… there were the old-time westerns. She was also an avid NY Mets fan. Along with her son, she had a strong interest in WW II history, including her favorite airplane the B-17 Bomber, in honor of her father who was a mechanic for those planes in WW II.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 10am-12pm with funeral service at 12pm. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ 08833. Interment will be private.
