Penny Marie Beam

Penny Marie Beam, age 67, of Califon Borough, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ. 

Penny was born on April 24, 1959, in a log cabin in Duckville, NJ, to the late Burton and Virginia (Miller) Beam. She was a long-time resident of Hunterdon County, NJ. 

Penny was a housewife. She loved working on word search books and adored crocheting. 

Penny is survived by her longtime companion, Larry Ort of Califon, NJ, with whom she spent 38 years. Her son, Woodrow Ort of Califon, NJ, and her daughter, Amy Hill of Stewartsville, NJ. In addition, she is survived by her two grandsons and her two siblings, Nancy Gillespie of Florida and Ted Beam of Butler Park, NJ. 

Penny is predeceased by her two siblings, Burton Beam III and Norton Beam. 

A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11am at Lower Valley Cemetery in Califon, NJ.
