Philip Jon Mears

Philip Jon Mears, age 37, of Stockton, NJ passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

He was born on December 25, 1987 in Somerville, NJ.  He was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ. 

He was the son of Eric J. and Lynn C. Buzzard Mears of Stockton, NJ. 

Philip attended Hunterdon Central High School.  He loved animals, music and playing video games.  He also loved being outdoors, especially camping.  In his younger years he enjoyed skateboarding. 

Philip was a very caring person.  He cared deeply about his family and friends and would give anyone anything he could. 

Survivors in addition to his loving parents include his sister; Carolyn Leigh Mears of Georgia.  Maternal grandfather; Robert J. Buzzard of Flemington, NJ.  Aunts and Uncles; Thomas J. Buzzard and his wife Ruth of CA, Sharon Harrison of Doylestown, PA and Dennis Curtis of North Carolina.  Cousins; Tyler Curtis, Ian Harrison, Devon Harrison and Eric Buzzard and his wife Elizabeth.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog; Amber and two cats; Angus and Jerry. 

Predeceased by his Aunt Beth Curtis. 

A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at from 1pm - 2pm with Memorial Service at 2pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.
