Richard ‘Dick’ Bradley Hoffman, age 80, of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
He was born on September 29, 1939 in Easton, PA. He was a lifelong resident of High Bridge, NJ.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Marian Boesiger Hoffman.
His beloved wife, Kathleen Alice Trimmer Hoffman, passed away 4 months ago on September 18, 2019 after 42 years of marriage.
He was a 1957 graduate of High Bridge High School. He earned his Bachelors of Commerce degree from Rider University in 1961.
Dick had an array of administrative jobs including working for Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ and also Eaton in Flemington, NJ. He also worked for McDonald’s in Clinton briefly. He worked as a rural mailman for Whitehouse Post Office until his retirement.
Dick was a lifelong member of High Bridge Reformed Church. He was also a member of Host Lodge #6 F. & A. M. in High Bridge, NJ where he was past Master. He was also active in the High Bridge High School Alumni Association. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include one brother; Joseph E. Hoffman Jr. of West Warwick, RI. Four nieces; JoAnn, Laura, Colleen and Angela. One nephew; William N. Trimmer III. Grand nieces and grand nephews; Katie, Harley, Charlie and Alexandria.
Calling hours will be Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, 66 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Funeral service will take place on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11am at High Bridge Reformed Church, 23 Church Street, High Bridge, NJ. Interment at Lower Valley Cemetery in Califon, NJ.
