Robert John Castleton, age 88, of Annandale, NJ, passed away on July 26, 2024 at home.
He was born on July 2, 1936 to the late Edward and Rose Hohen Castleton in Elizabeth, NJ. He spent most of his life in Union, NJ before moving to Annandale, NJ in 2010.
His beloved wife, Lois Kramer Castleton, passed away in 2017.
Robert served in the U.S. Army, and later worked as a lineman and telephone technician for NJ Bell and AT&T in Bedminster, NJ until his retirement.
Memberships include the AT&T Pioneers.
Robert enjoyed fishing and he especially loved fixing things. He was very handy and was always completing projects at his home.
Robert is survived by two children; Robert Castleton and his wife Joann of Port Orchard, WA and Donna Greenhalgh of Annandale, NJ. Four grandchildren; Jennifer Vivanco and her husband Tito of Burlington, WA; Stephen Castleton of Bellingham, WA; Mark Tabaka of Annandale, NJ and Mandi Greenhalgh of Annandale, NJ. Two great-grandchildren; Camila and Jameson. Three siblings; Louise Scarlato, Marie Michael, and Edward Castleton.
In addition to his loving wife, he is predeceased by one sister; Dorothy Regenye.
Graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at Mountain View Cemetery, 318 Cokesbury Rd., Clinton Twp, NJ.
