Robert J. Howell

Robert J. Howell, age 60, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at home.

He was born on September 23, 1960 in Somerville, NJ.  He was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough.

He was the son of the late Robert and Joan Whipert Howell.

Robert was the husband of Karen A. Polnasek Howell, celebrating 31 years of marriage.

He was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, class of 1979.

He worked for many years as a Union Carpenter for Local # 455 in Somerville, NJ until his retirement.

Robert was an incredible athlete throughout his High School years.  In 2010, he was inducted in Hillsborough High School’s Hall of Fame for Football and Wrestling.

He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved hunting and hanging out with his friends.  He will always be remembered for his jokes and having a big heart.  Everyone loved him and he will be dearly missed.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include two children; Robert Logan Howell and Kayla Marie Howell both of Hillsborough, NJ.  One sister; Peggy Howell of Hamilton, NJ.  One brother; Thomas Howell of Monroe, NC.  Nephews and niece; Joshua Scott Howell and his wife Monique, Jamie Leigh Howell and Brandon Michael Howell.  Two great nieces; Destini and Kassidi.  He is also survived by his mother-in-law; AnnaMae Polnasek of Hillsborough, NJ. 

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 5-7pm with Memorial Service at 7pm.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private.
