Robert David O'Gara

Robert ‘Bob’ David O’Gara, age 64, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York, NY.

He was born on September 2, 1956 in Shamokin, PA.  He spent his childhood in Shamokin and lived in Tewksbury Twp., NJ since 1998.

He was the son of the late William and Irene Lukoskie O’Gara.

Bob was the husband of Deborah Bloore, celebrating 29 years of marriage.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from University of Miami, where he attended on a full football scholarship.  He remained very active with the school’s Alumni Association. 

He was currently employed by Capgemini as a Client Partner.

Bob was an avid pheasant hunter.  He also enjoyed sailing and fishing.  His true passion since his childhood was always football.  He enjoyed playing the game and traveling to attend Army Games with his cousin.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. 

Bob was also passionate about supporting Purple Heart causes in honor of his father, a World War II Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. 

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include his son; Sean Robert O’Gara of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  One brother; Bill O’Gara and his wife Rena of Shamokin, PA.  Two nieces; Brooke and Ashley.  He is also survived by his Aunt Pat Britton.  One cousin; Mark O’Gara and his wife Julie Shebat of Pittsburgh, PA.  Father-in-law; Dr. Ernest Bloore and his wife Nancy Lee of Locust Grove, VA.  Two sister-in-laws; Pam Schnurman and her husband Mark of Long Island, NY and Barbara Bloore and her husband Bernie Gerst of Forest Hill, MD.  Nieces and nephew; Natalie, Ryan and Alie. 

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 3pm – 5pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private.
