Russell L. Houck, age 85, of Lopatcong Twp., NJ passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ.
He was born on February 23, 1939 in Norristown, PA. He spent his childhood in Morgantown, PA. He resided in Clinton, NJ for many years before moving to Lopatcong Twp. 25 years ago.
He was the son of the late Naiomi Houck.
Russell was the husband of Rosemarie (Ambrosino) Houck, celebrating 30 years of marriage this year.
Russell worked at Jerry’s Auto Body in Lebanon, NJ for 47 years until his retirement.
He loved cars and enjoyed racing at the Flemington Raceway. He also enjoyed going to car shows and dancing with his wife.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alpha, NJ 25 years.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by two sons; Terry Houck and his wife Betty of Red Hill, PA and Todd Houck of Middletown, PA. Stepdaughter; Karen Romano and her husband Gildo Romano Jr. of Lebanon, NJ. Four grandchildren; Amanda Romano and her husband Alex Trimm, Alex Romano, Amanda Lowe and her husband Mack, and Ariel Houck. Great-grandson; Sebastian Lowe.
Predeceased by his son; Russell Houck who passed away in 1994 and his step-daughter; Lisa St. Angelo who passed away in 1985.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 9:30am – 10:30am at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Funeral Mass will take place following calling hours at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 830 5th Avenue, Alpha, NJ 08865.
