Sharon Patricia Stanko

Sharon Stanko of Union Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, February 1 in the presence of her daughters.

She is survived by her daughters Brooke and Lily; Her brother James Wolek and his wife Marietta, parents James and Patricia Wolek, aunt Judy and uncle George DeSanto, aunt Diane Rodgers, aunt Rita Wolek, brother in law Joseph and his wife Barbara and family.

Sharon was born in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from North Hunterdon High School, and throughout her life loved animals and people. She was very creative in everything she did and was an incredible artist and author. She met the love of her life, Jim, through a Bible study when they were in their 20’s. Jim went home to be with the Lord in 2022. Sharon was a homeschooling mom and above all other things faithful to her Lord Jesus Christ. If Sharon was ever in your life you found a friend who would care, listen and advise with wisdom from far beyond this world. She lit up a room with her positive attitude and sense of humor. She was simply the best person you could wish to meet.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, February 10, 10:30 AM at Evangel Chapel Bridgewater 505 State Highway 28 Bridgewater NJ 08807. Sharon requested that those in attendance wear purple instead of black. A procession to the burial site will occur after the memorial service.
