Stanley Thomas Kozal, age 91, of Alexandria Twp., NJ passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
He was born at home on April 19, 1930 in the Clara Barton section of Edison, NJ. He resided in Alexandria Twp. since 1995, moving from Edison, NJ.
He was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Horvath) Kozal.
Stanley graduated from Metuchen High School.
He was a proud US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War as a Corporal in the artillery division.
Stanley was the loving and devoted husband to Grace E. Kudron Kozal. The couple celebrated 68 years of marriage.
He spent his career working as a plumber, operating his own business, Stanley T. Kozal Plumbing & Heating in Metuchen, NJ.
Memberships include St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Pittstown, NJ. He was also a founding member of West Edison Rod & Gun Club.
Stanley was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved watching boxing, baseball and football. He was a big animal lover and had great knowledge of all types of wildlife. Most of all, he loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He especially loved going on cruises with his wife and going to their farm in Bradford County, PA.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife includes four children; Stanley Kozal and his wife Lisa of Washington, NJ, Karen Kozal and her partner Dale Dalrymple of Stockton, NJ, Janice Mauro and her husband Salvatore of Frenchtown, NJ and Jennifer Pasculli and her husband Anthony of Pittstown, NJ. Five grandsons; Stephen Kozal, Thomas Kozal, Salvatore Mauro, Nicholas Mauro and Anthony Pasculli. He is also survived by one brother; Forman Kozal and his wife Eleanor of Bayville, NJ.
Predeceased by one brother; Robert Kozal.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4-8pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ.
