Therese Bunting

Therese Bunting, age 91, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.

She was born on October 4, 1933 in Regensburg, Germany.  She immigrated to the United States in 1954 and resided in the same home in Clinton Twp., NJ since 1964.

She was the daughter of the late Martin and Helene Breindl.

Her beloved husband, Frank L. Bunting III, passed away in 2017 after 63 years of marriage.

Therese, better known as ‘Grammy’ by so many, owned and operated Buntings bakery in High Bridge for many years.  Upon her retirement from the bakery, she worked as a Cafeteria Aide at North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ.  

Survivors include six children; Martin Bunting and his wife Susan of Easton, PA, Barbara Keith of High Bridge, NJ, Elizabeth Jones of Greer, SC, David Bunting of Simpsonville, SC, John Bunting and his wife Allison of Arlington, VA and Daniel Bunting and his wife Sandra of Pattenburg, NJ. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  

She is  predecease in addition to her loving husband by three siblings; Adolf, Helene and Marie. 

All services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
