Thomas A. Reilly

Thomas ‘Tom’ A. Reilly, age 74, of Lebanon Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. 

Tom was born on January 21, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Aloysius and Dorothy (Helmke) Reilly. He spent his childhood in Scotch Plains, NJ, before moving to Bridgewater, NJ. He has resided in Lebanon, Twp., NJ, for the past 30 years. 

Tom was the loving husband of Chris Carter. Married in 1995, they celebrated 30 years of marriage together. 

Tom worked on packaging machinery for Bosch. He was the owner of Northeast Machine Services, working with pharmaceutical and food packaging out of Taylor Wharton in High Bridge, NJ, and then in Lebanon Twp., NJ. 

Tom loved cooking. He believed that the greasier the food, the better!

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his three stepchildren: Alexis Vergalla (Justin Treadway) of Seattle, WA; Nicole Vergalla (Chris Palo) of Brooklyn, NY; Michael David Vergalla (Lauren Martino) of Sunnyvale, CA. His brother, Michael Reilly. His two nieces, Kelly and Tracy. 

He was predeceased by his former wife, Josephine Adamczyk.

A memorial party in Tom’s honor will be held at a later date. 

Arrangements under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
