Valerie DelVacchio, age 68, previously of Annandale, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Foothills Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hillsborough, NJ.
Born on October 13, 1957, in New York, New York, Valerie was the cherished daughter of the late Ralph DelVacchio and Lillian Franco DelVacchio.
Valerie dedicated her life to caring for others. With a compassionate heart and selfless spirit, she spent many years providing care and companionship to elderly individuals, making a lasting difference in the lives of those she served. Outside of her work, she found great joy in cooking, always taking pride in preparing meals and sharing them with family and friends. She also loved going to the beach and to planet fitness to workout.
She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Tina Spadafora of Annandale, Michael DelVacchio, Diana Russillo and her husband, Dominick, of Brick Twp., New Jersey, and Richard DelVacchio and his wife, Katrina, of Flemington, New Jersey. Valerie is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews; Nicole Spadafora, Adam Spadafora and his wife Jill, Gabrielle Russillo, Olivia Russillo, Dominic Russillo, Raquel DelVacchio, Noah DelVacchio, Troy DelVacchio and Laila DelVacchio along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home.
Valerie will be remembered for her gentle nature, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to caring for others. Her kindness, warmth, and love for her family leave a lasting legacy that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
