William Milton Burd, better known as Billy, age 49, of Lebanon Township, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey.
Billy was born on June 4, 1974 in Somerset, New Jersey to Robert D. Burd Sr. and Jacquelyn L. James. He was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County and was raised in Lebanon Township. He graduated in 1992 from Voorhees High School where he was a talented athlete on both the football and wrestling teams. He later went on to coach the Jr. Vikes football and wrestling programs as well. In addition, he enjoyed hunting and playing softball, especially on the WoodGlen Tree Service team. He also had a stint as a softball coach when he founded the Woodglen Beavers Women’s Team.
Billy partnered with his father in the family business, WoodGlen Tree Service 1 and was an employee of PSEG for 12 years, where he worked as a lineman and troubleshooter. He was also a member of the Local #94 union.
Above all Billy loved nothing more than spending time with his wife of over 26 years, Clarina Robertozzi Burd, and their two daughters, Clarina Ann Burd and Elle Elizabeth Burd of Califon, New Jersey. If he wasn’t working he was vacationing or on a cruise ship with his wife and daughters. He had an incredible sense of humor, usually inappropriate and his laugh was infectious.
Through the NJ Sharing Network, Billy was able to give others a Christmas Miracle through the donation of five of his organs. On the evening of Christmas, the five recipients were informed that their wishes had come true.
